HONG KONG -- Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd., the world's largest bourse operator by market capitalization, posted Wednesday a 64% rise in second-quarter net profit from the previous three months on an increase in trading volume on the local bourse.
The blue-chip bourse operator said in a statement the increase in turnover on the local exchange was driven by strong fund inflows to Hong Kong and an improvement in sentiment rather than economic fundamentals.
